Ajay Ram, Co-Founder + Lead Programmer

Ajay Ram is a non-binary filmmaker, musician, storyteller, and community organizer from The Bronx, NY. As the child of a NYC public school teacher, they inherited curiosity, grit, and the joy of sharing their findings with others. Their work strives to raise the dead, bring the flood, and electric slide with the church aunties. Ajay loves connecting people, building bridges through the lens, the stereo, and the cookout. Ajay makes music under the name Skate Key, performs comedy from time to time, and practices world-building in every aspect of what they do.

Suzy Swygert, Co-Founder + Lead Designer

Suzy Swygert is a biracial comedian, writer, and visual designer based out of NYC. She knows the power that film holds when it’s able to instill in you a sense of importance even before the credits roll. Suzy was astounded as a kid that a movie could make you feel so alive and not alone, and not a whole lot has changed since - she’s built her life around that feeling. Her mission is to see power, autonomy, and care for those of us who are so continuously denied it. If she’s not constantly thinking about storytelling she’s dead 💕.

Tarik Cummings, Director of Ops + Outreach

Tarik Cummings is a filmmaker, comedian, and comic book collector based out of The Bronx, NY. He has a deep love for everything Black (and all things Science fiction, Horror, and Superheroes) He has been helping organize film events in New York for 5 years. He has worked everything from red carpets to comic-con and in the last 3 years has dedicated himself to uplifting black voices in cinema. HIs favorite films are Blade Runner, He Got Game, and Akira.
